The news comes at a difficult time given the current state of the world. Meghan shared that after speaking with her doctors, she would be going into self-isolation to protect herself against COVID-19. Luckily, she will still be able to co-host on The View via satellite. She shared her gratitude for her employer stating, “I am fortunate that my employer, ABC, has allowed me and my co-hosts to work remotely. I am indebted to our producers and crew.”

During this time period where our nation is working to combat the spread of COVID-19, the daughter of the late Senator John McCain, has been very vocal about being appreciative of those individuals who are on the frontlines of helping our nation and our people as well as encouraging everyone to do their part to flatten the curve. In her announcement, she called out those individuals she is grateful for. “I want to acknowledge the heroes – the doctors, nurses, grocery and pharmacy workers, journalists, police officers, firemen, and military – who are on the front lines of this fight.”

News of this pregnancy is even more exciting for Meghan as she recently shared that she had suffered a miscarriage. Eight months ago, she revealed in an op-ed for the New York Times that she had lost a pregnancy a few weeks prior. In the op-ed, she shared, “To the end of my days I will remember this child. My miscarriage was a horrendous experience and I would not wish it upon anyone. I loved my baby, and I always will.”

We are very happy for Meghan and Ben on this happy news and wish them good health as they prepare for their new addition.
