Actress Abby Elliot has welcomed her first child with her husband, screenwriter Bill Kennedy!

The Saturday Night Live star shared a black and white photo of her and Bill, both wearing masks while gazing at their newborn. It’s a girl! They’ve shared that her name is Edith Pepper Kennedy.

The comedian announced she was pregnant on Instagram in September. She shared a selfie of her and Bill at the beach to celebrate their four year anniversary. But that wasn’t all they were celebrating! Abby wrote, “Happy 4 Years my love! Here’s to many more wonderful adventures with you— the greatest one of all coming next month.” The second picture in her carousel post featured Abby holding her growing baby bump!

Abby and Bill met in 2014 on the set of Sex Ed. The screenwriter proposed the following year. They tied the knot in 2016 in Eastern Connecticut with a Catholic ceremony in front of almost 200 guests followed by a reception was held at Abby’s parents’ house and featured a red, white and blue color theme for the Labor Day weekend.

The news of Abby’s pregnancy came a few months after the actress opened up to Kelly Clarkson about her fertility issues. “[IVF] is hardcore,” she shared on Kelly’s show in February. “This Valentine’s Day, I’ll be getting shots in my butt by my husband. Very romantic.” She was candid about the experiences she was having with IVF and that the hormones were intense. “So many people go through this and we don’t talk about it enough, I think, as women. We need to raise more understanding and awareness. It’s such a miracle what doctors can do.”

Congratulations to Abby and Bill on their new arrival! We wish them all the best.
