In a new music video called “Wake Up Love,” singer Teyana Taylor announced she is expecting with husband Iman Shumpert, professional basketball player. She was joined by Iman and their four-year-old daughter Iman Tayla, nicknamed “Junie.”
In a PEOPLE exclusive Taylor says, “We’re ready, and we’re very excited. Iman is super excited. Junie is ecstatic – I’m talking super ecstatic. Everybody is just excited. I can’t wait. I’ve got three more months left until we meet our little princess.”
The news was unofficially announced a little too early in an Instagram live in May when Junie kissed Taylor’s stomach and called it “baby”. The couple waited to confirm the pregnancy until the music video went live.
In 2015 they welcomed their first daughter Junie in a whirlwind, delivering her at home alone! In October 2016 they quietly married in their bathroom – the place their daughter was born – in red biker jackets with “I do” messages on the back for all three family members.
