Hope Solo, World Cup and Olympic Champion Soccer player, shared wonderful news while co-hosting beIN SPORTS Weekend Winners. She and her husband, former NFL player Jerramy Stevens are expecting!

This power sports couple aren’t just expecting one little baby – they’re pregnant with twins! Hope revealed the gender on the TV segment as well. “My husband and I get to practice equality from the very beginning with one boy and one girl. Miniature soccer team on the way,” she joked while sweetly rubbing her belly.

The news of pregnancy is a ray of sunshine for Hope and Jerramy. Hope revealed a few months ago that the couple had experienced a miscarriage. In an interview with Elle, the former U.S Women’s National Soccer Team goalkeeper revealed that she had suffered the loss back in February 2018, while she was running for president of the United States Soccer Federation.

Hope and Jerramy had been trying for a while to get pregnant. A week after miscarrying, Hope was still in a lot of pain. She went to the doctor and learned that she had been pregnant with twins. One of her eggs was considered to be an ectopic pregnancy. Her doctor ended up having to remove a fallopian tube.

Hope and Jerramy, who have had their share of controversy but are now stronger than ever, were wed in 2012. We’re so excited that this beautiful couple will be welcoming two new bundles of joy! It’s certainly a rainbow after the storm.
