One year after giving birth, Troian Bellisario, who played Spencer Hastings in the television series Pretty Little Liars, has finally revealed her daughter’s name.

I cannot express how grateful I am. To the people who have protected us and kept our growing family safe and respected our privacy. To our tribe for expanding with grace and exponential amounts of love. To my @halfadams for being so supportive during every moment of my pregnancy and her birth. And to whatever incredible force of fate that brought this baby girl into our lives. I couldn’t be more proud to be her mother. To bring a new girl into this world and to do my best to raise her to be kind, strong and whatever the heck she wants to be.

Troian posted a video to her Instagram stories where she casually snuck her daughter’s name in. It’s a name fit for a princess! Aurora. On her daughter’s first birthday, she posted a photo of her little girl crawling in the sand on the beach and candidly shared her parenting journey of the course of the year.

These past 365 days have been the most challenging, hilarious, sleepless, giggle filled, food-on-the-floor, heart-beating-out-of-my-chest, WONDERFUL, life-changing days I have ever experienced. Our daughter, Aurora is 1 year old today and she has already filled @halfadams and me with more joy and gratitude than our souls can handle. All I want to do is return the favor, but the world we are giving her isn’t the world we grew up in. The oceans aren’t the same, the ice caps, the amazon rainforest, the hurricanes are more destructive, the summers burn hotter, the winters are colder, the animals are disappearing, the coral reefs bleaching, the very air we breathe is different.. changing in crisis. So today for your birthday, my daughter, I am making a promise. Confronting climate change has to be a priority. For me and for our family. A daily fight. A monthly donation. At the front of our minds…. Troian and her husband, fellow actor Patrick Adams, have kept Aurora out of the spotlight and social media. They’ll share images of her here and there where you can only see her from behind or her little feet. It’s a trend many celebrities have taken up to help shield their little ones.

Exactly 1 year ago today I was just getting over food poisoning and wonder what the hell I was gonna do with myself in 2018. Here I am today, sick again, (Classic) but holding my first born daughter. I guess 2018 had its own plans for me. This was by far the most surprising, challenging, heart breaking and heart bursting year I have ever experienced. I am so grateful and humbled by it.
