Rapper Nicki Minaj welcomed her first child last year with her husband Kenneth Perry but has been very private in sharing details about her little one. For the first time, the rapper has shared pictures of her little one!
Nicki shared five pictures of her little boy and one video where she affectionately talks to him. While she hasn’t revealed the name of her son yet, she shared the nickname he goes by which is Papa Bear. She referred to him as Papa Bear in her caption and in the pictures, he wears a necklace that bears the nickname.
In her post, Nicki expressed her gratitude for becoming a mother as she reflected on the difficult year. “#PapaBear thank you so very much for choosing me to be your mama 🎀🦄🙏 Wishing you guys a happy & prosperous New Year. Thank you for your love & support throughout this journey. It’s meant so much to me. Becoming a mom is by far the most fulfilling job I’ve ever taken on. Sending love to all the superhero mothers out there. Big hugs to all the women who have been pregnant during this challenging time.”
News of Papa Bear’s birth came out at the beginning of October. The source revealed that Nicki gave birth on September 30th but the rapper didn’t confirm the birth at the time. It wasn’t until later in October that Nicki posted about her son. She shared a collection of cards from a number of celebrities including Beyonce, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, Riccardo Tisci, Winnie Harlow, and Karol G. that she had received congratulating her on becoming a mother. The cards revealed her son’s gender at the time but Nicki never spoke directly on it.
