Patrick Mahomes, the quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs, has announced that his fiancée Brittany Matthews is pregnant with the couple’s first child!
Patrick has been dating the personal trainer since they were teenagers. He recently popped the question to Brittany earlier this month following the Chiefs’ Super Bowl ring ceremony. It was also one day after Brittany’s 25th birthday.
The proposal was elaborate and beautiful. Surrounded by a romantic candle-lit dinner table were roses and the phrase “Will You Marry Me” spelled out in marquee lights. When Brittany shared the news on her Instagram page, she wrote, “On a day that was meant to celebrate you, you turned it into celebrating us. It’s always us, it’s always you and me. The words you looked into my eyes and said to me at this moment, will NEVER leave my mind! You made this day perfect, you took my entire breath away and I could not have imagined anything better. I love you, forever and always! Cheers to spending our lifetime together and an inseparable bond.”
In her announcement post, Brittany hinted to the engagement and upcoming wedding by writing in her caption, “Mom & Dad, taking a small detour to the wedding.”
Patrick and Brittany live together in Kansas City and share two dogs: a pit bull named Steel and a cane corso named Silver.
