Singer-songwriter Fantasia Barrino, known professionally as simply Fantasia, has announced that she is expecting her first child with her husband, Kendall Taylor.

The couple originally announced the news on Instagram Live on Tuesday. She reshared the video to her Twitter page. During the announcement, Fantasia opened up about her fertility issues. She turned to her faith to guide her through. She said, “Keep trying and you will conceive.”

The next day, Fantasia shared a picture confirming the news. She posted a picture of herself in an all-white outfit but you wouldn’t know it was a pregnancy announcement until you read the caption. The American Idol season 3 winner wrote, “God I want to thank you! You gave us a seed even when the doctor said that one of my tubers were closed, you said different. I can’t wait to see who he or she acts like.” She added the hashtags preggo and preggy to her post.

This new bundle of joy will be the first the couple welcomes together. They both have children from previous relationships. Fantasia has two children, Dallas Xavier, 8, and Zion Quari, 19 while Kendall has a son named Treyshaun.

Fantasia met Kendall while working on the Broadway show After Midnight. The couple tied the knot in July of 2015, just a few months after Kendall popped the question the previous November. Fantasia wore a stunning black dress for the occasion and gushed over her new husband at the time. “This Man … God made him just for Me and me Just For Him. Be Happy with me you guys cause I’ve been thru SOOOOO much. Some stuff was my wrong decisions but all I ever really wanted was this … Real Love. This Man and this smile is real.”
