Actress Mena Suvari, 41, announced the exciting news that she is expecting her first child with her husband, Michael Hope.
The American Beauty actress spoke with such hope and gratefulness about becoming pregnant. “The greatest, most precious gift has come our way. Through all the trauma, through all the struggle, through all the doubt, our little angel has chosen us.” The journey to becoming pregnant wasn’t an easy one for Mena, as she shared with People. Given her age, she expected she might have difficulty and knew the clock was ticking. She was active in trying to conceive – peeing on ovulation sticks and recording her temperature each more. The stress of trying to conceive coupled with the emotional distress that came with each pregnancy test caused the actress to feel hopeless.
The couple decided to take a step back to alleviate the pressure of conceiving. And then – it finally happened!
Of course, the pregnancy news wasn’t the only thing Mena shared. She also revealed the gender of her first child. It’s a boy! ” I will never have enough words to describe my love for this beautiful soul coming into our lives, but I won’t ever stop trying to give him the best life possible. You’re all I’ve ever wanted and the most important thing that will ever matter.”
