Supergirl star Melissa Benoist has announced that she and her husband Chris Wood are expecting their first child together!
The couple shared two adorable photos to announce the news. In Melissa’s first picture, she’s holding a tiny blue sweater and Melissa and Chris are joined in the picture with their two dogs. Melissa cutely captioned the photo “A non-canine child is coming to our family very soon!!!” In the second image, the couple decided to have a little fun. In the black and white image, Chris is shown with a “baby belly” he cradled while Melissa stands behind him holding him. This couple is too funny!
Melissa and Chris met on the set of Supergirl in 2016. Melissa plays the titular role in the series while Chris played her love interest. The couple became engaged in February of 2019 and tied the knot a few months later in September.
Melissa later gushed about her wedding day saying, “I’m always going to remember looking at you every five minutes on this day knowing both of us were thinking ‘how in the world did we get so lucky?’ I still don’t understand how, but you prove to me every day that I’m one of the damn luckiest out there.”
