Update: Amy Davidson is smitten! The actress shared a new photo of her son, Lennox Sawyer, smiling away in his baby carrier. She wrote, “This is my FAVORITE picture so far…he smiles when he’s awake. He smiles when he’s asleep…My little happy, happy baby…”

The actress and blogger welcomed her first child with husband, actor Kacy Lockwood, on Tuesday, March 1st.

Davidson took to her Instagram page with the announcement, writing: “Someone decided to arrive early! Lennox Sawyer Lockwood says ‘hello’ to the world… We are beyond in love. I never knew how powerful this bond could be until now…”

The actress, who was recently honored with a baby shower at the home of her friend and former co-star, Kaley Cuoco, told People that although Lennox is the name of a Scottish lord in Shakespeare’s Macbeth, that did not play a role in their choice. She said, “Although I’d like to claim that we chose this name because I am an actress and Macbeth is my favorite Shakespeare play, I can’t because I’m not that fancy or sophisticated! I simply love the name and thought it sounded great with Lockwood.”

Baby Lennox arrived a little earlier than expected, but is doing well.  He weighed in at 5 lbs., 1 oz. and measured 19 inches long.
