Dancing with the Stars couple Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd have confirmed that Peta is pregnant with their first child! The professional dancers took to social media to announce the pregnancy news after much speculation.
In the pic, shared on Peta’s Instagram account, Maks kisses her baby bump while she smiles. The caption is short and sweet: “We couldn’t be happier…Baby Chmerkovskiy is coming.”
Maks shared the love on his Instagram account, posting a sonogram pic with the caption: “Put your hand up if you’re a #babyChmerkovskiy and you can’t wait to drive your parents crazy! #cantwait #inlove #thatprofilethough.”
Peta gushed about Maks’ fatherhood potential earlier this year, telling Us Weekly: “[He’s] somebody that I’ve always seen as being a great father and a great husband. I’ve always said he has the most incredible generosity. He wants to take care of everybody that he knows.”
She told People.com that “the timing is perfect,” explaining, “I’ll have the baby in January and then I’ll still have about six months to prepare for the wedding.”
The DWTS couple got engaged in December 2015.
