The Americans co-stars Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys welcomed their first baby together in May and Keri is now revealing the baby’s gender and name!
During an appearance on the Today show, Keri spoke about their new baby after Matt Lauer noted, “You just had a baby about a month and a half ago. Am I correct in reading, Ms. Russell, that you have not yet revealed the gender of the baby or the baby’s name?”
Keri answered with a laugh, saying, “I mean, I guess not. I mean, where do you reveal that?”
Isn’t it lucky she was on TV to share the news? Keri revealed, “We had a boy,” adding, “He’s so good. He’s big and fat and nice.” Aw!
As for the name, the couple decided on Sam, is of English origin, typically short for Samuel.
Keri has two other children, River, 9, and Willa, 4, with ex-husband Shane Deary.
The actress is currently promoting her latest film, Free State of Jones. Season 5 of The Americans comes to FX in 2017.
