This is quite an exciting year for the Duggar family! Counting On couple, John David Duggar and wife Abbie Burnett, have announced exclusively with People that they will be welcoming their first child into the world.

While many other siblings were announcing pregnancies, fans wondered if John David and Abbie might be next! The couple has had a whirlwind romance. They began courting in June 2018. A month later, John David got down on one knee in an airplane hangar in front of a sign that read, “Abbie, Will You Marry Me?”. Just a few months later, on November 3rd, 2018, the couple tied the knot in Arkansas.

Speculation of pregnancy was quite high just a few days ago when the couple posted pictures on their joint Instagram account while attending EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2019. Many fans thought this series of photos was a pregnancy announcement!

But, just 3 days later, the truth is now revealed. Considering the photograph the couple used to announce the pregnancy, it may have been taking during EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2019! The couple clearly has a love for planes and found a very fitting way to announce their pregnancy.

John David and Abbie are in good company. They join three other siblings in the pregnancy journey: Kendra and Joe Duggar, Anna and Josh Duggar, and Lauren and Josiah Duggar. This past May, sister Jessa Seewald (Duggar) welcomed a baby as well. Sadly, Joy-Anna Forsyth (Dugger) was expecting her second child with her husband Austin but they revealed earlier last month that they had suffered a miscarriage.

This may be the first child for John David and Abbie, but they are surrounded by other great moms and dads to lean on if they need a hand navigating the world of parenthood. Congratulations to these first-time parents!
