Actor Jesse Tyler Ferguson, famously known for his role as Mitch Pritchett on the TV series Modern Family, has welcomed his first child with his husband Justin Mikita!
A rep for Jesse exclusively confirmed the news to People. Neither Jesse nor Justin have announced the exciting news yet on their social media channels. Jesse’s rep did share the name of their new bundle of joy! The couple are now proud fathers to a baby boy named Beckett Mercer Ferguson-Mikita. He was born on July 7th.
Jesse revealed the news that he and Justin were expecting back in January of this year during his guest appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden. While Jesse was discussing with James what it was like to be in his 40’s, he shared, “I’m actually expecting a baby in July with my husband.”
In February, the couple was treated to a beautiful baby shower to celebrate for the arrival of their newborn. Fellow Modern Family co-stars Sofia Vergara and Sarah Hyland were in attendance. In lieu of gifts, guests made donations to No Kid Hungry, a charitable organization whose mission is to end childhood hunger in the United States.
