Congratulations are in order for George Clooney and his wife, Amal. The couple finally welcomed their twins, a boy and a girl.

The couple released a statement about the baby news, including their names.

The actor’s rep told People.com: “This morning Amal and George welcomed Ella and Alexander Clooney into their lives. Ella, Alexander and Amal are all healthy, happy and doing fine. George is sedated and should recover in a few days.”

Ella is of Spanish origin, meaning “young girl,” while Alexander is of Greek origin, meaning “defender of the people.”

George and Amal’s pregnancy news was announced by The Talk‘s Julie Chen earlier this year, after some speculation that Amal was pregnant.

The couple got engaged in 2014 and were married in Venice, Italy later that same year.
