It’s been quite the day of surprise baby announcements! Today, Ellie Kemper of The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt took to Instagram to wish her new son a happy one-month birthday.
All in one post, The Office alum shared she gave birth, revealed the gender, and announced his name. What a trifecta! Ellie’s newest little bundle of joy has been named Matthew. How sweet! She shared that Matthew has “inherited his dad’s brown hair and his mom’s desire to be carried around all day in a baby sling.”
Matthew is Ellie’s second son with her husband, writer and producer Michael Koman. They welcomed their first son, James, in August of 2016. It seems James got a belated present to celebrate his 3rd birthday this year!
A few days before giving birth, Ellie shared a photo on Instagram with the hilarious caption that all mothers can relate to. “102 weeks pregnant” she quipped.
Ellie and Michael celebrated 7 years of marriage together back in July. The two met backstage at Late Night with Conan O’Brien, where Michael had been working at the time. Their family is certainly growing beautifully and we’re so excited for this lovely mom to bask in the glow of motherhood with her second son! She certainly looked elated in her first public picture with him.
