Country music singer and songwriter Mickey Guyton has announced the exciting news that she is expecting! The musician took to Instagram to share the news using ultrasound pictures.
Mickey, who is famously known as being the only black female artist signed to a major label, also shared two images to her Instagram stories about the news. In one boomerang story post, she shared a clip of herself opening up a wooden box to reveal the ultrasound pictures while the song “ily (i love you)” by Surf Mesa played. She added the words “Baby Savoy coming 2021.” She also shared a bump pic the musician took herself in the mirror. She sweetly added a baby gif over her growing bump and wrote, “God sent me an angel in these darks times and I am beyond grateful and terrified and all the things.”
Mickey will be welcoming this new bundle of joy with her husband, attorney Grant Savoy. The “Black Like Me” singer married Grant in June 2017 at an intimate ceremony at the Kauai Marriott Resort in Kauai, Hawaii. Their nuptials came after the couple dated for seven years. We wish Mickey all the best as she takes on her next journey: motherhood.
