Picking a baby name for your child can be challenging, especially when you’re looking for that perfect fit. After all, the name has to serve them well their whole life. No pressure.
With their second baby on the way in a few weeks, Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis have some decisions to make. They hit the baby name out of the park with their first daughter, Wyatt, but just because they’ve named one kid doesn’t make it any easier.
During an appearance on Conan, Ashton was asked if they’ve picked a name for their son yet. Ashton explained, “We have a name dialed in that we’ve had for awhile,” adding, “But the problem is if you get the name too soon, suddenly there’s slight trepidation around the name.”
Conan touched on another name issue, explaining, “I had a really good name. I like the name Miles and my wife was like ‘I knew a Miles, he was an a**hole.’” Back to the drawing board!
The actor noted, “That is a real thing! You don’t want names of people that remind you of people that used to beat you up. That’s not good.”
One of his suggestions that got nixed by his wife was “Hawkeye,” an homage to Ashton’s Iowa roots. Nope. He said it “didn’t get across the Mila threshold,” joking, “It came to the threshold, but then it got knocked down.”
