Felix has been growing on me for a few weeks and I'm close to putting it on my short list. Those of you with stars in your eyes about Felix, tip the scales for me. :loving:

Also, is Felix awful in my sibset or could it work?

Thanks!

Felix is on my short list  I think it is unusual, but not unheard of. Easy to pronounce and spell, which are all criteria for me. I think it is really great in your sibset, actually. I particularly like it with Jude and Maryn.

I think your sibset is varied enough that Felix blends.

Felix has grown on me tremendously. One thing I like about it is that it -- at least for me, IRL, where I am having to cross names like Soren and Arthur off of my list because there are some in my neighborhood -- really is a name I never hear.

Felix is a great name. It's short and easy to pronounce. It has a bit of coolness with that "x" ending, but it's also classic/antique in style. And then if you're into positive meanings, there's that, too. :) It's in my top ten at the moment, can you tell?

I love it too. I actually don't think it fits perfect with your kiddos though. It fits with Jude, but not the others to me. But, I also don't care a lot about that.

Love it with your sibset!

I think Felix is really cool. I prefer it to a lot of more "classic" male names because I think it has some spunky. I like it in your sibset, although I'd probably prefer Finn for you over Felix.

1. It's easy to pronounce.
2. It's uncommon, but not unheard of.
3. My son is freaking adorable, and rocks it perfectly.
4. The meaning is wonderful.
5. I can't think of a more awesome name.

But uh, really. I'm not biased or anything. ;)

I think it goes really well with your kids' names. I have a little cousin Felix. It is a spunky, cute name and it suits him. I think it's actually quite a simple name to say, but looks trickier written down. I like it. :)

I think Felix is a great name! I don't think I'd ever have the guts to use it, nor would I be able to get Jeremy on board, but I definitely like it in your sibset! :)

Well, I think it's the best name ever! It's versitle, has an interesting sound to it, it's satisfying-ly unusual (well, given that it doesn't get as popular irl as it is on the boards) without crossing over into 'out there' territory, it has history, it's used and pronouncable in many different countries... I could go on and on.

But I also think that a name that you have to be talked into might not be the best name for you, kwim?

With your set I prefer 'softer' names: Miles, Finn, etc (from what I remember from your own list) and maybe also Eamonn, Alden (love this for you ), Gabriel, Jonas, Theodore... Felix seems a bit 'flash' or even harsh compared to the more flow-y, 'rounded' sounds of Maryn, Elise, Jude, and Graham. But it's not the worst name for your set by any means :)

Felix is wonderful. It's definitely on my short list! It's high on my list right now. :) I think it's nice with your kids' names, just different enough but not too "out there."

I think Felix would be great with your children's names.

It was on our short list for Clementine, had she been a boy. Just fits the kind of name I like - not too popular, has a lot of history, quite soft sounding... and it has a nice meaning which is a bonus.

I've always loved it, first reason being because it "means" happy to me; somehow, saying it can always bring me happy thoughts and make me smile. I know the actual meaning is more along the lines of 'lucky', but I guess it's too close to feliz, which is Spanish for happy, for me to ignore. :)

I also like that it's used both in Spanish and English. I think it's great that it's a recognizable name in many countries, yet not too popular anywhere.

And I love how it sounds. There are many beautiful names, but that are said in almost a single tone. Over those, I tend to prefer names like Felix, that have more contrasting sounds. They're more interesting to me, and I love saying them again and again.

As for it in your sibling set, wouldn't be my first choice but it works in an eclectic kind of way. If you loved it, I wouldn't question it, but if Felix is not a name you're entirely sold on, I'd have to say there are other ones out there that fit in better in your set.
