One of my BFFs is pregnant and due in March with her first. They just found out it's a boy and his name will most likely be Lawliet Vaughn. Her husband picked the boy's name and she picked the girl's (Alice). She said it's pronounced like Law-lee-ette.

I thought it was strange at first, but it's growing on me. She's going to call him Lee, but I like the nickname Law, too. Vaughn is after her DH's BFF.

So, WDYT? Also, If you know, where did they get this name from? I can't find it anywhere. Thanks!

Never heard of it! I wonder if it's a family surname?

It sounds too contrived for my liking. I love their girl choice, though.

I suspect that they combined Law or Lawson with Elliott. Or maybe it's a surname.

Definitely interesting and I think it could grow on me for someone else.

The -liet part on the end gives it a girly feel IMO but with a nn like Law I could see it on a boy.
I like Vaughn, it's not used too much.

It's NMS - feels like a combo between Law and Juliet to me. Vaughn is nice though.
