Which girls' name for me?

Sorry ladies, I'm only 6 weeks so you're going to have to put up with me flip-flopping on my girls' name for a long time. :lol:

I'm kind of leaning towards Juliet as the MN if we have a girl (since a boy would have Matthew as his MN, after DH). Which one would you pick?

Clara Juliet - Clara after The Nutcracker, which is very special to me.
Miranda Juliet - I just love the name Miranda.
Carina Juliet - My favorite, definite #1 name for years... but I dumped it about a year back for fears that no one would ever spell or pronounce it right (I say it Cuh-REE-nuh). It is honestly spelling and pronunciation hell being named Juliana (even though I like my name in that I think it's really pretty) - 95% of people I meet (including some of my best friends, who I've been friends with for over 7 years) spell it Julianna, Julianne, Julie-Anna, call me Julia, etc. and I find it absolutely infuriating. I picked Clara as a similar substitute that also had meaning to me when I dumped Carina (just a name that I liked).
Talia Juliet - My #2 name for years, just a name I liked, dumped it for the same reason as Carina.

I like Carina Juliet the best, I know a Karina and she has no problems with prn. issues.

If Carina is your #1, and has been for years, then I'd say go for it. Carina Juliet is beautiful, and I prn it the same way as you when I read it. I think spelling it with a K might make prn easier, but I also think it's much more beautiful with a C. I'd stick with Carina Juliet if it's the name you really love :)

FWIW, my personal favorites are Carina/Clara (I really love Clara Juliet but adore Carina for you, so they're tied) and Miranda Juliet. Talia is nice, but I don't love it as much as the others.

:ditto: everything. I say if you've loved a name for so long, and DH is on board, then that is what you should use. My ranking would be Carina, Clara, Miranda, then Talia, though I'm not particularly fond of Talia. Use what you love. In the end, that's really what matters.

ETA: FWIW, my name is Melissa and people spell it wrong all.the.time! I really don't think it's that hard to spell, and I know there's 2 normal variations, but I have seen some weird ones...

I love the sound of Carina Juliet the best, but I prefer the Corrina spelling (like the song) personally. Clara Juliet would be my second choice. It's just lovely. ;)

I guess the pronunciation problem I was wondering about was Cuh-RINN-uh vs. Cur-REE-nuh (I doubt I would get the only other pronunciation I can think of, which is KAREN-uh). I think the spelling is more of a bother to me though... Carina, Karina, Corinna, Korinna, Carinna, Karinna... I hate having my name misspelled!!!

I love all your choices though I think that Carina/Clara would be my top choices. Today I think I slightly prefer Carina, but oh so very slightly. Miranda and Talia are super pretty though as well!

I have a bad association with the name Carina so I dislike it because of that; however, it has a pretty sound.

Association aside, I still prefer the name Clara. I think Clara Juliet is gorgeous and ages very well.
