I have finally found a girls name I love. Girls names are so difficult for me and today I was determined to find one I like. I came across Cleo which I really like but it's too short for a first name for me so I found Cleonie.
What do you think of Cleonie nn Cleo? klee OWN ee
I dislike popular names or even semi popular names. And Cleonie is a name I have never heard of before so it fits well.
What do you think of Cleonie and Ruby as sisters? I never used to like Ruby but it's growing on me and I really like it with Cleonie.
What would you name a brother to Cleonie? Cleonie and Ruby?
TIA!

I really like it! Cleonie and Ruby would make great sisters. As for a brother, I like Felix or August...or something a little spunky and not widely popular...

Cleonie is NMSAA, I'd just prefer Cleo...which to me, is no shorter than Ruby.
Cleo and Ruby would be adorable together IMO. Good luck!

I prefer either just Cleo or just Leonie ... not a fan of Cleonie. I think Cleo and Ruby are great together, fwiw :)

ooh I like it. Ruby is nms though.
Oooh, I like it. (or, em, ditto Peach!)
I would think of the pronunciation CLEE-oh-nee though. More like Leonie.

It seems like the kind of name I would like, but I'm not big on it. I'm not a fan of Cleo, and I think because I like Leonie, it feels like a spin-off of it.

I think I like it! I'm not big on Ruby though.
Cleo was on our original long list for Clementine, and I read that it can be a nickname for Clementine too, so I might start using it a bit...I think it's a lovely name.

Cleonie is interesting, I'm not sure whether I like it or not. I like Leonie, though.
Just a thought, but a while ago I came up with the name Catherine Leona "Cleo."

Cleonie sounds made-up, like a combo of Cleo and Leonie to me, sorry. I do, however, think it soudns fantastic with Ruby!

I like it. I read a book once set in about 1790 and the heroine was called Cleone, which looked Greek, so I assumed was pronounced as you are saying it. Your spelling makes more sense in a modern context, though. I think it means 'glorious'. I love Ruby and think they sound ok together, although they are very different styles and one is a very popular name and one isn't!
