I don't know why, but I really like Masen nn Macy for a girl. I don't know that I could convince DH of this, but wdyt of Masen for a :girlpin:? Could it work, or is it still too masculine, even with the nn? How does the combo Masen Noel sound? And would you spell it this way, or another way? I don't like the Mason spelling for a girl, it just seems to make it too masculine for me.

It's nms. I'd prefer just Macy or Maren. Sorry!

Masen makes me think of Masengill, which is probably not a great association for a girl.

I think Mason is totally a boy name regardless of spelling.

I think Mason is totally a boy name regardless of spelling.

Ditto. It's nmsaa for a girl.

I thought it was a boy too before I opened this thread. Other then that it's wayyyyy too close to my friends last name so it's not my style.

It's all boy to me. Maisie is adorable, though.

I don't mind Masen for a girl. I'd probably sp it Maesyn or Macyn or even just Mason - but to me if you're going to call her Macy, I would just name her Macy.

I like Mason for a boy only. The Masen spelling is nms. I do like Macy for a girl. Macy Noel is cute.

I think Masen, no matter how you spell it, is all boy, even with the nn. I love the name Macy/Maisie and Macy/Maisie Noel is a lovely name.

OK, I know I'm going to be in the minority but Masen nn Macy (though normally nmsaa) is one of my biggest 'guilty pleasure' names. I looove it. I like Masen and Masenne. I've always adored the name Macy but felt like it needed a longer name, so I grew to love it for a nn for Masen (I also think Mason is too masculine for a girl). If it weren't so totally opposite of my top girl names (Matilda/Rose/Leona, etc) I may have considered using it. Masen Noel is cute though I'd prefer Masen Noelle. :)

Ditto - it's nmsaa for a girl, sorry. I would much prefer Maren.

I love Macy :) Masen is nmsaa (boy or girl). I think it could work on a girl, I think I've seen it a few times before. I'm not sure which spellings though. I would guess Masyn/Macyn/Mason

Sorry, but it's just a boy name to me, and I don't care for that spelling. Ditto the Macy suggestion! Or Gracen/Gracyn?

Okay, so Mason for a girl is a secret guilty pleasure of mine! I babysat for THE most adorable girls named Mikayla (nn Mika prn. Micah) and Mason. They called her Mae or Maisy, which I also loved.

Like Mason for a boy... but just not Masen-Mason on a girl.

Don't like Mason, any spelling, for a boy or a girl, sorry. Paired with Noel as well makes it all rather masculine/ unisex for me. I do like Macy with the other names on your list though.

Complete ditto. Definitely all boy. I do love Maisie for a girl, spelled that way.

I think Masen could work on a girl, but the sound of it, no matter how it's spelled, is all boy to me. I much prefer the Mason spelling. I do like Macy!!

ETA: Guess I could have just dittoed Anna and Casey.

I strongly dislike Masen on a girl, especially this spelling.

Personally I'd just go with Macy.

With the popularity of Mason for boys, I can't see it for a girl. I also have an extreme dislike for boys names on girls.

It's nmsaa. I think Masen/Mason/however you spell it is all boy.

It's all boy to me. Maisie is adorable, though.

Macy or Macey is cute too, but I don't think Masen is the right full name for it.

I would probably just name her Macy or pick a more feminine name as the full name, like Michaela nn Macy or Marissa nn Macy, both of which I think would work. Mason, regardless of spelling, is all boy to me.

I like Masen for a girl, but I really like the combo of Masen Noel and (even though I'm just okay on Macy itself) I love Masen nn Macy.

I absolutely do NOT think it is too masculine, esp with this spelling. It takes on a ungendered bell tone feeling.
