View Full Version : I'm giving up on honoring everyone with a name...

And instead, I'm going with what I'm in love with and keep coming back to.
Grace.
It'll either be Grace Elisabeth Jean or Grace Anna Jean (I prefer Elisabeth but my father already told my grandmother, Anna, that I was using her name.....my other grandmother, Elisabeth, passed away...and it is my mn as well.)
DH was against it at first....but it has grown on him and I just keep coming back to Grace. It means "blessing" or "favor" and having a girl this time around, was definitely a blessing. I love Gracie as well.
So what do you think? How does it sound with the boys? Is it too common? TIA Ladies and Gents :)
ETA: DH likes Grayce as the spelling but I'm on the fence.

What about Grace Anna-Elisabeth or Grace-Anna Elisabeth? I think Grace-Anna as a first name is lovely. You could still call her Grace or Gracie. It sounds perfect with your boys names.
I am not a fan of spelling Grace with a Y.

Your boys all have very common names, so Grace fits right in.
Grace Ann Elisabeth is very nice.

Well, I like it ;)
Grace has always done well by me - it was never too popular, but I never had pronunciation issues either. I think it sounds really nice with your boys' names.
I'm biased, but I strongly dislike the Grayce spelling.

I love Grace and it works well with your sibset. Both combos are lovely.
The spelling Grayce is nmsaa though. I think the Y really takes away from the classiness of the name.

I love Grace! And I like both combos, they're lovely
Personally, I don't mind the spelling Grayce, simply bc it's what DH and I are using to honor my grandparents. It was the best we could come up with for that. But that said, it's also a mn we chose, so very few people would have to spell it and chance a confusion, kwim? I think for a first name, Grace is better imo.

I LOVE it....it's definately one of my all time faves.
It had to grow on me, it was DH's pick and he loved it so much....that I fell in LOVE with it as well.
I absolutley do NOT think it's popular of over used as as FN....I NEVER hear it....I hear it all the time for MN's.
Lovely choice...sounds GREAT with your boys :cloud9:
