I was going through the top 1000 boys and girls names on the SSA list to make sure we have them all in our database, and I ran across the name Yandel (male). Apparently it is now popular due to a Reggaeton singer Llandel Veguilla of the duo Wisin & Yandel. He made his name phonetic by using the Y. Problem is, I can't find any background on the name Llandel. Sounds like a latter-half of a name, like perhaps Villandel or something. Or possibly a surname.
Other sites say "created name" but I'm not sure I believe that.
Any help is appreciated!
