David Nail has two more reasons to sing – he and his wife Catherine welcomed their first children, a twin boy and girl, on December 12th. Lawson Brent Nail weighed 6 lbs., 2 oz. and arrived just before his sister Lillian Catherine Nail, who weighed 5 lbs., 14 oz.
The couple released a statement following the birth of the twins, saying: “No words can describe the feeling. Beyond worth the wait. We are crazy in love with them both.”
The pregnancy was a double blessing for the couple who struggled for years with infertility. Speaking to The Tennessean about their personal relationship and David’s latest single “I’m a Fire”, Catherine said, “[The song] says ‘I’m a fire burning blue.’ And a fire at its hottest point burns blue. Not only in his career, but in our marriage and his personal life, I feel like that’s where we are – burning blue.”
Nail has had two number one singles with “Let It Rain” and “Whatever She’s Got” and will release his fourth album “Fighter” soon.
