A new, cool name

Hi Jennifer,

Here is a name I didn’t see in ANY of hundreds of sites was a name I thought of myself: Zandophen.  To me it means “exceptional talent.” I think it’s kinda cool to have–I mean, I’d want it. Email me back and tell me what you think. gotta go to school.

Thanks,

Benjamin Boyes

Dear Benjamin,

That is a cool name! I’ll make sure to add it to our website as a created name. It’s great that you are so creative, you have “exceptional talent” in the naming department. Have fun at school.

Sincerely,

Jennifer

The name Evanlea

Dear Jennifer,

My husband and  I know were expecting a girl. We wanted something different, so we came up with Evanlea. We combined her both of her godparents name together.

Is Evanlea to different or unique of a name?

-Cat

Dear Cat,

I like the name Evanlea. It is a perfect choice for a created name because it meets two of my name criteria: it’s easy to spell and easy to pronounce.  The only possible problem I foresee is that people may confuse it with Avonlea, the fictional town from Lucy Maud Montgomery’s novel, Anne of Green Gables.  Other than that, I’d say go for it.

Sincerely,

Jennifer

Created Name: Atalie

Hi Jennifer!

Thank you for taking my question.
I would like to get your opinion on the name “Atalie” for a girl?

Thanks,
Lewis H.

Hi Lewis,

I think Atalie (Natalie with no N) is actually a beautiful name. Although you have to realize that because it’s a unique name–and sounds so much like Natalie–that if you use it as a baby name, your daughter will be forever explaining “Natalie without the N.”

Thank you for the new name! I will add it to the BabyNames.com database.

Sincerely,
Jennifer
