Country duo Thompson Square has welcomed a third member into their tight knit group – a son named Ridney Cooper Thompson!  The on-stage and real-life couple announced that the brown haired, blue eyed baby boy was born January 24th, weighing 7 lbs., 13 oz., and measuring 19 inches long.

The duo shared that the name Rigney has special significance because it was the maiden name of Shawna’s grandmother.  However, the couple has repeatedly referred to their son as Cooper as they documented Shawna’s pregnancy on social media.

Shawna and Keifer released a statement to announce the birth of their first child:  “We’re so excited to be able to share this monumental day with all of you. We’ve had many wonderful things happen to us but this absolutely tops them all. We want to thank you all for being there for us and our music and for all of your support during our pregnancy.
