Madonna‘s bid to adopt a three year-old Malawian girl has hit a stumbling block. The singer traveled to the country this weekend in hopes of adopting a girl named Mercy from a local orphanage, but a judge denied the request. Madonna has filed an appeal, but had to leave the country empty-handed. A staffer at the orphanage said that Madonna looked “sad,” but the singer’s 12 year-old daughter Lourdes looked “devastated” when leaving the little girl. The pair returned home to London where they will celebrate Passover with Madonna’s son, Rocco, and ex-hubby Guy Ritchie.
Bachelorette couple Trista and Ryan Sutter have a new love in their life. Daughter Blakesley Grace was born this afternoon in Colorado. She was delievered via c-section and weighed six pounds, two ounces and was 19 inches long. The new mom said, “she’s healthy [and] everything is really good.” The couple have a son, Max, who is 19 months old.
Actor Scott Wolf and his wife, Real World: New Orleans alum Kelley, are the proud parents of a bouncing baby boy! Son Jackson Kayse was born on Sunday, March 22 and weighed seven pounds. The new daddy said:

Alyson Hannigan got an extra-special birthday present this year–a baby girl! Daughter Satyana was born on March 24, Hannigan’s 35th birthday. She is the first child for the actress and her hubby, Alexis Denisof. The couple met on the set of Buffy the Vampire Slayer in 1999 and married in 2003.
Actor Tim Allen and his wife Jane are the proud parents of a baby girl! Daughter Elizabeth was born this weekend in Los Angeles and weighed in at five pounds, thirteen ounces. A statement from the couple said they are “thrilled” about their latest arrival and that all are “doing well.” Allen has a daughter, Katherine, from a previous marriage.
While Jewel‘s chances at Dancing with the Stars may have been dashed by an injury, she may soon face another challenge–motherhood. The singer’s husband, Ty Murray, said the couple is looking forward to starting a family–sooner, rather than later. When asked about his wife making a comeback on the show, Murray told E! “we’ll see what the future holds, but it’ll be hard to do it if her belly is out to here!” The couple hope for two children–ideally, one boy and one girl.
The Material Girl is getting maternal again. Apparently, Madonna is planning on adopting another child from Malawi. A representative from the country’s Ministry of Women and Child Welfare told PEOPLE that the singer is headed there this weekend and has filed papers to adopt a baby girl. Madonna’s son David is also from Malawi. She has two other children, daughter Lourdes and son Rocco, from previous relationships.
