The star and her fiancé, fashion designer Adam Kimmel, welcomed a baby girl on Wednesday night. Although Sobieski’s rep confirmed the birth to PEOPLE, no details on a name or the baby’s weight were given. Sobieski and Kimmel got engaged in June and announced the pregnancy in September; Sobieski has mentioned that the couple plan to wed sometime in the spring of 2010.
In addition to debuting her most recent movie (Somewhere), Sofia Coppola will also be introducing a new baby. Her boyfriend Thomas Mars, singer for the band Phoenix, recently confirmed that the couple are expecting their second child. The two are already parents to a daughter, three-year-old Romy.
The originals may be back on the block, but the new generation is making that block awfully crowded! Joey McIntyre, 36, is the latest NKOTB alum to have a baby. He and his wife, Barrett, recently welcomed their second son, Rhys Edward McIntyre, who was born on December 13th. Big brother Griffin Thomas, 2, no doubt has plenty of cool moves to show his baby brother while dad is promoting his newest solo album, Here We Go Again.
The beach volleyball star, whose son Joseph Michael was born in May of this year, is already pregnant with her second! Kerri Walsh and her husband, Casey Jennings, are expecting their second baby on May 30th. The two-time Olympic gold medalist is planning to dive back into training once baby #2 is born so she and volleyball partner Misty May-Treanor can team up in search of a third gold medal in 2012’s Olympic games.
The reality star show and her boyfriend, Scott Disick, welcomed their first baby a little early! Mason Dash Disick was born Monday, December 14th, and weighed 7 pounds, 6 ounces. Kourtney’s due date was originally December 23rd. We’re looking forward to seeing the baby pictures!
Hank Randall Baskett, IV, that is! Kendra Wilkinson and Hank Baskett, wide receiver for the Indianapolis Colts, welcomed their first child on Friday, December 11th. Little Hank, who weighed in at 9 pounds, 5 ounces, was delivered via C-section.
Despite positive assurances last week, Michelle Duggar delivered her 19th baby on Thursday, December 10th. Daughter Josie Brooklyn, who wasn’t supposed to arrive until March 18th, is doing well: PEOPLE reported that the smallest Duggar (she weighed only 1 pound, 6 ounces at her birth) is in stable condition in the hospital’s neonatal intensive care unit.
Duggar was admitted to the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences for what turned out to be gallbladder pain earlier this month, and doctors soon discovered that she was suffering from preeclampsia. The condition, which affects 5-8 percent of all pregnancies, is characterized by rising blood pressure. Though rare, severe cases can result in death for both mother and child. Doctors determined that Duggar’s case warranted an emergency C-section to protect the health of both Duggar and her baby.
Our thoughts are with little Josie and the entire Duggar family.
PEOPLE recently confirmed that Gary Busey‘s girlfiend, Steffanie Sampson, is seven months pregnant with a baby boy! The couple have decided to name the boy Luke. Busey has two other children, actor Jake Busey and daughter Alectra, from previous relationships. Busey is set to appear in next year’s comedy Grown Ups.
She starred in last month’s end-of-the-world flick 2012, but Amanda Peet is looking forward to a long future with her two children. That’s right, the actress and her husband, writer David Benioff, are expecting their second child. No due date for the newest Peet has been announced, but we’re sure that big sis Frances Pen is looking forward to his or her arrival!
Lisa Leslie — three time WNBA MVP and four time Olympic gold medalist — retired earlier this year at the top of her game, but she’s already looking forward to many more great things. One example? The former Los Angeles Sparks forward and her husband, Michael Lockwood, are expecting their second child — a boy — in May 2010. The couple, who are already parents to two-and-a-half-year-old Lauren Jolie, plan to name their son Michael Joseph Lockwood, Jr.
