John Rich — of Big & Rich fame — and wife Joan are expecting their first child. But that’s about all the details Rich is prepared to share! John and Joan were married in a quiet ceremony last year, and early this year Rich released his second solo album, Son of a Preacher Man. Big & Rich the duo is currently taking a break while Big Kenny recovers from a neck injury.
In January, the NASCAR racer and his wife, Kate, will celebrate their first anniversary. In February, the two are expecting the arrival of their first child, a girl. Though Edwards, 30, has joked that the timing is ideal for naming the baby Daytona, no official name candidates have been aired.
Arianne Zucker and Kyle Lowder
Arianne Zucker, of Days of Our Lives, may know all about the drama of daytime television, but she’s also on track to find out just how much drama a new baby can add to your life! Zucker, who plays Nicole Walker Kirakis on Days, and her husband Kyle Lowder are exepcting their first child, a girl, to arrive on December 16th. The couple met on the Days set, and although Zucker continues to add her share of drama to the show, Lowder has moved on to the set of The Bold and the Beautiful.
The day’s game might have been a loss, but October 8th was a big day for Philadelphia Phillies pitcher Cole Hamels. While Hamels was on the pitcher’s mound, his wife, Heidi Strobel, went into labor! The Phillies ended up losing that game 5-4, but Hamels sill came home a winner: Caleb Michael was born the next day. Hamels and his wife had previously announced their plans to adopt a girl from Ethiopia next year. According to the PHILADELPHIA INQUIRER, those plans are still in place. “We’re going to adopt a girl, and it will be great for her to grow up with a brother. They’ll be like twins,” the site quoted Hamels as saying.
The singer, who rose to fame with her hit single “Stay,” announced early last month that she and husband Roey Hershkovitz are expecting their first child. The newest Loeb is expected to make his or her debut this winter, although there’s no news on the baby’s sex or any prospective names. With such a musical heritage, however (dad is a music production supervisor for Late Night With Conan O’Brien), we bet baby will be tuneful!
Ioan Gruffudd and Alice Evans
Ioan Gruffudd and Alice Evans, who met on the set of 102 Dalmatians in 2000, welcomed Ella Betsi Janet on September 6th. Ella weighed in at 6 pounds, 3 ounces. According to PEOPLE, the couple included Janet in Ella’s name in remembrance of Alice’s mother, who unexpectedly passed away shortly before Alice underwent her final screen test for her Dalmatians’ role.
He’s made his winner’s climb more than a few times at the Indianapolis 500. He’s sported the Mirror Ball trophy on Dancing With the Stars. And now Helio Castroneves is looking forward to the greatest reward of all — parenthood! Castroneves and his girlfriend Adriana Henao are expecting a baby girl in January. Although the couple toyed with the idea of naming her “Indy,” they’ve opted instead for Mikaella.

Heidi Klum and Seal
It’s a girl for Heidi Klum and husband, Seal. Daughter Lou Sulola was born on Friday night to the Project Runway host and her singer husband.
The proud papa said “from the moment she looked into both of our eyes, it was endless love at first sight. She is beautiful beyond words, and we are happy that she chose us to watch her grow over the coming years,” he said.
The couple have three older children–Leni, 5; Henry 4 and Johan, 2.
Twins for Tambor!

Jeffrey Tambor and his wife, Kasia Ostlun, have expanded their brood by two! Twin boys Hugo Bernard and Eli Nicholas were born on October 4th. Along with these two newest additions, Jeffrey and Kasia are also parents to Eve Julia and Gabriel Kasper. Tambor, who got his start on television in such shows as Taxi, Three’s Company and The Ropers, also has two daughters with ex-wife Kathryn Mitchell. Tambor appears in The Invention of Lying, which opened this month.
Get up close and personal with Jennifer Hudson in the latest issue of PEOPLE, in which the new mom dishes about everything from lullabies to diapers and feedings with her son, David, who was born on August 10.
Of motherhood, the singer/actress says, “I love being nurturing and caring because I love to see other people happy. Who better to devote my time to than my own child?”
