The star of such recent hits as Enchanted, Julia & Julia, and Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian, Amy Adams has some enchanting news of her own! PEOPLE recently confirmed that she and fiancé Darren Le Gallo are expecting their first child together. Adams and Le Gallo, who got engaged in July 2008, have been dating since 2001. Adams is starring in next year’s Leap Year, which is scheduled to open January 8th.
She plays nurse Carla Espinosa on the ABC show Scrubs, but Judy Reyes is practicing some new lines — lullabies! She and her boyfriend, director George Valencia, welcomed their baby girl, Leila Rey Valencia, on November 27th. Little Leila weighed in at 6 pounds, 7 ounces and was 19 inches long. Leila is the first baby for Reyes and Valencia.
The New England Patriots’ quarterback knows the sex of his soon-to-be baby, but his wife Gisele Bundchen doesn’t! “I wanted to find out, and she didn’t,” Brady is quoted as saying in a recent PEOPLE article, “so she said “Go ahead.” Bundchen revealed the pregnancy in July during a photoshoot with London Fog. The second Brady baby — the first being two-year-old Jack (John Edward Thomas), from a previous relationship with Bridgit Moynahan — is due this month but will remain wrapped in mystery until its arrival. Brady hasn’t shared his secret with anyone: not his wife, not his son and not even his dad!
The singer, famous for her 1994 single “Stay (I Missed You),” and her husband Roey Hershkovitz (who’s the music production supervisor for The Tonight Show With Conan O’Brien) welcomed their daughter on November 29th. Lyla Rose Loeb Hershkovitz is the first child for the musical couple.
For being actresses, Accidentally on Purpose costars Ashley Jensen and Jenna Elfman are bringing a lot of reality to their roles! While Elfman isn’t expecting her sequel until March, Jensen welcomed Francis “Frankie” Jonathan, her first child with husband Terence Beesley, five weeks ago. Like many first-time moms, Jensen has found that adjusting to motherhood — the sleeping and feeding — has got her stumbling from day-to-day, she recently confessed to PEOPLE. Being able to bring Frankie to the set, though, has made life easier.
May is the month for graduations, and Paula Patton and Robin Thicke are looking forward to graduating into parenthood in May 2010! Although they don’t yet know whether they’re having a boy or a girl, the soon-to-be daddy is already talking names. He recently told PEOPLE that the couple are leaning toward Julian for a boy and Isabella for a girl.
“We’re very traditional,” said the mommy-to-be, who’s already working on baby name lists with hubby Brady Smith. She said the couple isn’t planning on using any “freaky names.”
They’re not sharing their short list, so looks like we’ll have to wait until May to find out their pick.
Heidi Klum made a big splash at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show this week when she strutted down the runway only six weeks after giving birth to her fourth child, daughter Lou. While Klum acknowledges that she was the heaviest of the models, she said “why not? I like my outfit. I like the way it looks on me.”
However, she also admits she’s more comfortable hosting Project Runway than shaking her booty “in front of millions of people around the world.”
The holiday season may be a little more exciting for Camila Alves and Matthew McConaughey. The couple announced earlier this year that they’re expecting, and they’ve recently made public that the new baby will arrive in late December or early January. This will be the second child for the couple, who are already raising 16-month-old Levi.
