Padma Lakshmi‘s dream came true on Saturday, February 20th, when she welcomed daughter Krishna Thea. Lakshmi had struggled for years with endometriosis, leading her doctor to call this pregnancy a miracle. The Top Chef hostess has consistently declined to announce the identity of Krishna’s father, but recent rumors have suggested he may be Adam Dell, the younger brother of venture capitalist and Columbia Business School teacher Michael Dell.

Isabelle Delobel: First-Time Mom Tackles Third Olympics

For most new moms, getting back in pre-baby shape can take months, even years. But Olympian Isabelle Delobel had a deadline: 4.5 months. That’s how long the French ice dancer had between the birth of her first child and the beginning of this year’s winter Olympics. Delobel and her husband, Ludovic Roux, welcomed their son Loic on October 1, 2009. Delobel, who had continued skating throughout her pregnancy, resumed rigorous training and practice on October 26th. The Vancouver Olympics are the third for Delobel and her partner Olivier Schoenfelder; the couple finished 16th in Salt Lake and 4th in Torino. After last night’s Compulsory Dance, the couple are in 6th place.

Despite the speculation that swirled following her recent trip to Haiti, Angelina Jolie has said that adopting from Haiti isn’t in her immediate plans. When asked point-blank if that was the purpose for her visit, Jolie said that while she and partner Brad Pitt are always open to children (the couple are parents to five), adoption was not the purpose of her visit. Maybe Jolie’s decided that five — Maddox (9, adopted from Cambodia), Pax (6, adopted from Vietnam), Zahara (5, adopted from Ethiopia), Shiloh (3), and Knox and Vivienne (18 months) — children younger than ten are enough of a handful!

Celine Dion Still Trying for Baby

Celine DionAfter last August’s pregnancy loss, seeing Celine Dion step back from the public eye would have been completely understandable. But that’s not the diva’s style.
