One Direction fans responded with the appropriate levels of hysteria when Louis Tomlinson shared a shirtless photo of himself cradling his newborn son.  The singer and first time father added the caption, “Meet my little lad, Freddie.”

Freddie is the first child for Tomlinson and Briana Jungwirth, a stylist with whom he had a summer fling.  The baby was born on January 21st in Los Angeles.  In a separate Instagram post, Jungwirth revealed that Freddie’s full name is Freddie Reign Tomlinson.

While Tomlinson and Jungwirth are no longer in a romantic relationship, a source told People at the time of the pregnancy announcement: “Louis is happy and very excited about becoming a dad and he thinks Briana will be an amazing mother. It was a surprise at first, but he and Briana are very, very close friends and this has brought them even closer.”
