Big Brother’s Aaryn Williams is a new mom!  The controversial reality star shared the news on Instagram with several photos.  The baby girl is named Skyla Elizabeth and was born on the evening of June 14, weighing 8 lbs., 4 oz. and measuring 18.5″ long.

Skyla is the first child for Aaryn and her husband, Nick Williams.  The couple met in 2014 and married in May of 2015.  According to babynames.com, the name Skyla is of American origin and means “scholar.”  While Skyla is not considered a common name, the middle name of Elizabeth is very popular, ranking at #13 for U.S. births.  The name  Elizabeth is of Biblical/Hebrew origin, meaning “God is my oath.”

In 2013, the former model drew ire for several remarks she made while living in the Big Brother house.  Viewers and host Julie Chen considered several of her statements to be racist and homophobic and a petition was circulated calling for her early elimination by CBS.  Williams ended up being evicted by her housemates after 70 days in the house.  She addressed the controversy after her eviction, stating “I feel how bad it is being seen and how I’ve come across to people. I don’t want to seem like that person, I apologize to anyone I offended for that.”
