Kids can wander off — and while they might just be having some fun, new parents can quickly panic.

Now BeLuvv is developing the $25 Guardian accessory to ensure no panic is necessary: the wearable waterproof device sends parents a notification the instant a child goes beyond a custom-set distance.

The Guardian can also tie into what BeLuvv calls its “crowd-guarding network”  that it says will “turn every place into a safe playground for children.” Anyone who installs the app on their mobile device becomes part of  the “expansive and secure crowd-sourced platform to search for and pinpoint lost children.”
